All composite doors come as a full door set (including the door frame). The frame must be included in the overall sizes given.

The height given to us must also include any Sills and Addons (if selected). Widths given to us must also include any Addons (if selected). See note below regarding sidepanels and addons.

To measure the width of your new doorset, measure brick to brick then subtract between 5mm and 10mm from your measurement.

To measure the height of your new doorset,  measure from the stonework the sill or threshold is sat on to the brickwork/lintel at the top just above the frame. Then subtract 5mm to 10mm from your height.

This is the way that the majority of modern door openings are measured but may not be suitable for all openings.

If you are unsure what type of threshold or sill you will need, you can send us photos of your door wide open from the outside and the inside and we will be able to advise you further. Please send any photos to

Note regarding sidepanel and addons. Door sets designed with a sidepanel will include a 20mm frame coupler which will be included to the sidepanel width given to us. Please note if you select an Addon to the width of an order which also includes a sidepanel, the Addon will be included with the door frame width. Ie if you choose an overall width of a door set with a sidepanel to be 1300mm total, and includes a 300mm sidepanel and a 25mm side Addon, you will receive the following. The sidepanel frame will be 280mm, the frame coupler will be 20mm, the door frame will be 975mm and the Addon will be 25mm. If you are unsure about this please contact us.

Sill height for a 85mm, 90mm and 150mm sill is 30mm, this will be included with the door frame height given to us (if a sill is chosen).

If in any doubt about your measurements, please consult a qualified installer.
